Meet The Team
Jonathan Nichols
CEO & Co-Founder
Jonathan Nichols is a real estate investor local to the DFW metroplex. He began his REI career after having worked for almost ten years in the aerospace engineering industry as a propulsion engineer where he analyzed and integrated turboshaft engines on helicopter platforms. He holds a B.S. degree and a M.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering from Texas A&M and Virginia Polytechnical Institute respectively.
He and his wife Paula first began their investing journey in 2018 and have undertaken numerous different types of projects before forming their multifamily investing company Apogee Capital in 2019. His past real estate projects include a 75-unit A class apartment complex in College Station, TX as a GP, two 100+ unit complexes in the Tulsa MSA as a GP, an 8-unit apartment to STR conversation in Arlington, TX as a GP and almost 1000 units investing as an LP. Additionally, he has numerous residential real estate investments including a 20+ unit short-term rental business in the Arlington Entertainment District. Known as a person with a high work ethic,
Jonathan enjoys helping others to achieve their goals (financial or otherwise). Outside of work, he enjoys spending his time racing in Ironman triathlons and traveling with his wife.
Paula Nichols
Co-Founder
Paula Nichols is a real estate professional with experience in project management, investment analysis and contract negotiation. She began her career as a management consultant where she worked on multiple projects with clients in the banking and utility sectors. Paula and her husband, Jonathan, co-founded Apogee Capital a multifamily real estate investing firm where they syndicate apartments in Texas and Oklahoma. Paula also works as a pre-development project manager at ECM Development where she manages single family rental and lot development projects ranging from $14MM to $25MM in value. She holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration - Finance from Texas A&M University. Paula is a licensed real estate agent and a certified ScrumMaster®.
Paula is passionate about entrepreneurship and excels at finding creative solutions to complex problems. Outside of work she enjoys serving at her local church, spending time with friends, and traveling with Jonathan.

Michael Blank is a Real Estate Investor, Bestselling Author of “Financial Freedom with Real Estate Investing”, speaker, and leading authority on apartment investing in the United States. As the CEO of Nighthawk Equity, Host of the Apartment Building Investing Podcast, and Columnist, Blank’s passionate about helping people become financially free in 3-5 years by investing in apartment building deals and raising money. Through his investing company, Nighthawk Equity, he controls $90M million in multifamily assets and has raised over $21M. In addition to his own investing activities, he’s helped students purchase over 7,300 units valued at close to $330M through his content and training programs.

Greg Monroe

Greg is a partner at Baker Monroe, a boutique transactional firm focusing on commercial real estate and lending matters.
Greg’s practice focuses on commercial real estate and lending transactions. Greg represents developers, banks, owners, landlords, and tenants, handling purchase and sales, leasing, development, and commercial real estate lending matters.
Along with his commercial real estate practice, Greg handles lending transactions, corporate matters, and entity formations associated with real estate transactions. Greg was admitted to the State Bar in 2007 upon completion of his J.D. from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law, Fort Worth, Texas, and is Board Certified in Commercial Real Estate Law.
